A Fish Called Irma

Staff Writer

Updated: Apr 25, 2023

We are raffling off this beautiful custom, handmade quilt!

As Hurricane Irma blew in, Kathleen Mackay started a fun sewing project to keep her mind occupied. She finished the quilt, playfully named A Fish Called Irma, long after Maria and has donated it to SEA to raise funds for our environmental conservation and education work.

The quilt is being displayed at The Mermaid at The Buccaneer from March 2-10 and Leatherback Brewing Co. from March 10-15. A winner will be randomly drawn on Monday, March 16, (or after we meet our goal of a minimum of 100 tickets sold) and notified by phone and/or email.

This lap quilt measures 44” x 66” and is made with quilt store quality fabrics and low-loft batting. It is custom quilted and the binding is hand finished. The quilt is machine-washable.
