April 8, West is Best Bike Tour, 8:45am – Noon. VI Bike and Trails will guide us for this unique opportunity to tour the West End by bike. Along this easy three-hour tour, you will learn about and experience St. Croix’s history, nature preserves, wildlife and culture. Appropriate for ages 8-88. $50 for SEA members, $60 for non-members, $30 for kids with an accompanying adult. Cost includes bike rental, helmet, guided tour and water. Although a plastic water bottle can be provided, please help us reduce our plastic trash footprint and bring a reusable bottle to fill up. Space is limited so registration is required. 8:00 am – 10:00 am. Join SEA to clean up the beach at Southgate Coastal Reserve before turtle nesting season. Nesting turtles and hatchling turtles can often get hung up in trash on the beach or worse, they mistake it for food when it washes into the water. This activity is open to all community members. Students earn Community Service hours for school requirements! Please bring drinking water and wear appropriate sun protection.
Join SEA for a Sunday afternoon party at Mt. Victory Camp in the Rainforest. Kurt Schindler will be playing music, our favorite chef, Joe Smith, will be serving food, there will be games and activities for kids and adults, Armstrong’s Ice Cream will be selling their delicios homemade ice cream and you can bid on over forty items at our silent auction. The fun starts at noon and we will wrap things up at 5:00. Tickets are $30 for adults, $10 for kids 8 and older, and free for kids 7 and under. Meal is included in the ticket price.
