SEA offers a variety of free or low-cost activities to explore and better understand our island’s environment. Residents and visitors are welcome! SEA strives to provide knowledgeable guides for such activities as shore walks or hikes to better understand our native flora and fauna; visits to the endangered bird rehabilitation program; organic farm visits; star-gazing; and snorkeling trips, to name just a few. Sea Turtle Hatchling Watch – Full

This event is full. Check back with us in the spring for next season’s turtle watch dates.

Hatchling watches begin at 5:15 p.m. and end between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. This is a great activity for children and the whole family! You must be a SEA member to attend watches with SEA. Reservations are required. Please call (340) 773-1989 for reservations and membership information.

Leatherback sea turtle hatchling watches are provided by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge. If you would like to schedule a sea turtle watch for a group of 15 – 30 people please call U.S. Fish & Wildlife directly ~ (340) 690-9452.
