SEA offers a variety of free or low-cost activities to explore and better understand our island’s environment. Residents and visitors are welcome! SEA strives to provide knowledgeable guides for such activities as shore walks or hikes to better understand our native flora and fauna; visits to the endangered bird rehabilitation program; organic farm visits; star-gazing; and snorkeling trips, to name just a few. If you would like to know more about SEA activities, volunteer as a guide or make suggestions, just email or call SEA at 340-773-1989.
If you would like to do some volunteering for Earth Day this year, we are also organizing the 7th annual Project CLEAN (Crucian Litter Elimination Action Now). Get together with a couple of friends and sign up to pick up trash along a section of the 56-mile triathalon route on either April 23 or 24. Each year, this event results in the removal of about 1000 bags of trash and hundreds of large items like tires, appliances from the roadsides of St. Croix. Call SEA to volunteer for this important event, 773-1989.
