SEA offers a variety of free or low-cost activities to explore and better understand our island’s environment. Residents and visitors are welcome! SEA strives to provide knowledgeable guides for such activities as shore walks or hikes to better understand our native flora and fauna; visits to the endangered bird rehabilitation program; organic farm visits; star-gazing; and snorkeling trips, to name just a few. If you would like to know more about SEA activities, volunteer as a guide or make suggestions, just email or call SEA at 340-773-1989.
December 4, 4:00pm – Take a tour of ARTfarm, a family owned, organic farm on St. Croix’s South Shore. You will learn the valuable role that our native wildlife and plants play in farming and have the opportunity to plant some trees after the tour. There will also be a few fruits and vegetables available for purchase. Due to the potential transmission of plant diseases, no smoking or tobacco use is allowed on the farm and only non-smokers can participate in the tree planting. Bring drinking water, gloves and closed toed shoes if you will be planting trees. Registration is limited to 20 people so please call 773-1989 or email email@example.com to register.
