This program offers experiential nature activities, both camp based and field based, to existing summer programs. Trips to forest, wetland, mangrove, and seashore habitats are linked to lessons about water quality, wildlife, soil conservation, biodiversity, endangered species, and more. While the kids are having fun exploring the natural world they are also learning to treasure the resources that make St. Croix a special place.
SEA’s education programs are focused on getting out of doors to appreciate the very special environment of St. Croix. We rely on our partners at VINE (Virgin Islands Network of Environmental Educators) to assist with many of our school-based programs.
Working through schools and summer camps SEA reaches more than 2,500 youngsters each year. We also offer weekend activities for youth and adults – join us for hikes, kayak trips, snorkeling and much more!
SEA offers a variety of activities for the general public. Hikes, bird watching, kayak excursions, snorkel clinics, nature photography clinics and more. We strive to engage knowledgeable guides to lead the activities and encourage participants to share their knowledge as well.
These activities are free for SEA members and children, others pay a small fee.
